Pressing the key at the top left corner on the keyboard is a shortcut for the Back command.  Pressing it repeatedly retraces your steps backwards through cards you've seen before.

Clicking buttons is another way to get around.  Buttons can look like standard Macintosh buttons, or they might be arrows or other icons that hint at where they'll take you.
